Welcome to 2nd grade! This year is going to be filled with creativity, exploration and fun. I am truly looking forward to helping my students foster a love of learning. I believe children have unique learning styles and I will do my best to encourage and support each of them. It is also important to me that our classroom family values individuality and respect for one another, kindness is key and we will be working on ways to make sure everyone feels valued and respected in our classroom.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I was raised here in Camarillo, but decided to go to college in the Bay Area. I attended Sonoma State University where I earned my BA in Psychology and also met my husband, Steven. We decided to move back to Southern California so that I could pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. I attended Cal State Channel Islands where I received my teaching credential. A few years later, we were blessed with our daughter Olivia, who's 11 and a four years after that, our son Everett, who's 7. We currently live in Simi Valley with our German Shepherd (Ben) and two cats (Coco and Simba). In my free time I love to read, travel and spend quality time with my family and friends.
I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you and having a wonderful school year!
